Coronavirus update on events and mass gatherings in Hackney

Following the recent advice and updated guidance from the Government and Public Health England, the Council is supporting the new social distancing guidance issued on 16/03/2020.

This will affect events and informal gatherings in Hackney and means that we will not be accepting any new applications for events and/or gatherings to take place within the borough until further notice.

For event organisers who were already in the process of working with the Council to host an event in the borough, your assigned Event Officer will continue to liaise with you to review your event and discuss contingency options.

Please note any event applications submitted after 18 March 2020 will be automatically placed on hold until further notice and will only be reviewed once the Event Team is able to resume normal service. 

The Council will continue to monitor the situation day to day and will provide updates in response to any changes.
