Folkestone & Hythe District Council has different processes for administrating applications for events on its land and on private land.

Before planning your event please make sure the area of land you want to use is available and suitable for the type of event you are proposing.

There are applications that need to be undertaken for events, as well as guidelines to follow. All this information can be found here.

If you are organising any public outdoor events in the Folkestone & Hythe area you only need to notify us of your event when;

  • The event is being held on Council land
  • The event requires a license for the hire of the land
  • The event is large scale, high risk or a special public event on private land
  • The event requires a TPCA road closure (Town and Police Clauses Act)

You will need to apply online using EventApp, the easy-to-use, online application service, which enables you to keep track of your application throughout the entire process.

We do not need to be notified of small events on private land.
